What's in it for you:
Trane Technologies has an exciting remote opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic region (covering Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina). This position will play a critical role in providing business development and technical sales support in the design, application, and selection of Ductless products. You will partner closely with customers and account managers to accelerate the growth of our sustainable climate solutions.

 

What you will do:

  • Drive Sales & Strategy: Take responsibility for regional Ductless product sales growth, teaming with Account Managers in your territory to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies.
  • Support Customers & Partners: Build consultative trust relationships with residential customers, and assist builders, engineers, and design-build contractors with ductless designs, applications, and code compliance.
  • Deliver Training & Advocacy: Provide high-level technical product sales training to residential and supply district office personnel, and actively represent Trane at industry associations and trade shows.
  • Monitor Market Conditions: Stay up-to-date on external market conditions, including energy rebates, tax incentives, and HVAC code requirements within VA and NC.
  • Foster Collaboration & Culture: Partner with leadership to continuously improve processes, maintain communication flows with the national Product Sales Manager, mentor/onboard new associates, and actively participate in team and community activities.

What you will bring:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Travel Capability: Must be able and willing to travel throughout the assigned territory (VA and NC).
  • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work successfully in a matrix organizational structure and build strong relationship skills as both a team leader and member.
  • Technical Literacy: Strong knowledge and comfort level with computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Core Competencies: Strong planning, organizational, delegation, verbal/written communication, and analytical skills.

 

The range listed below is inclusive of the total compensation for the role which includes base salary and incentive compensation.

$98,300.00 - $195,264.99
