Job Overview:

Job Summary**

Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel for Primoris Services Corporation, specifically supporting PEPCO projects. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while ensuring timely delivery and effective communication.

Job Responsibilities**

* Operate various company vehicles safely, including pickup trucks, flatbeds, and potentially other heavy-duty vehicles as required, to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, ensuring all systems are in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
* Load and unload materials and equipment, utilizing appropriate safety measures and securing loads properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
* Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance, adhering to company and DOT regulations.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and field personnel regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, and any issues encountered.
* Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and client-specific safety requirements, especially those pertaining to PEPCO projects.
* Assist with other general labor duties on job sites as needed, when not actively driving.
* Keep vehicles clean and organized, both interior and exterior.
* Represent Primoris Services Corporation professionally at all times.

Job Qualifications**

* Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
* Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the utility or construction industry.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check.
* Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to maintain accurate driver logs.
* Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
* Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
* Familiarity with the PEPCO service area and project requirements is a plus.
* High school diploma or equivalent.

R.B. Hinkle is an underground and overhead utility contractor, specializing in the installation of conduit, manholes and streetlights through trenching, directional, drilling and moling.
