Full job description
Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the Lehighton, PA area for the following position: Registered Nurse - Telemetry. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: COVID, Cardiac drips, Cardiac monitor, Cardioversion, Defibrillation, Device experience, EKG monitoring, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.
- Shift(s) available: day shift and night shift
- Job types available: full time, part time, and per diem
- Employer features: Cross training, Level 1 trauma center, Level 3 trauma center, Level 4 trauma center, Magnet recognized, PTO
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac rhythm and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify any signs of distress or abnormal patterns
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, with a focus on patient's cardiac status
- Educate patients and their families on best practices for heart health, treatment plans, and any relevant home care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient's condition, treatment, and progress in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
