This position is accountable for managing clinical administrative services of three (3) units within the Division of Substance Abuse. The Manager's actualization of the organization's mission, values and vision establishes a strong commitment for excellence by maintaining quality patient care standards and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for the overall coordination of patient care activities, interdisciplinary collaboration, and liaisons with the medical and nursing staff at other institutions for exchange of services and information. The Manager participates in improvement activities, performance evaluation, quality assurance, research activities, establishes practice standards, supports an autonomous environment for delivery of efficient quality patient care and demonstrates leadership skills and core competencies. This position also assumes some fiscal and human resources responsibilities.  

Essential Functions:
•    Define, organize and coordinate daily delivery of clinical services to patients throughout the Division of Substance Abuse. Demonstrates responsibility for administrative issues. Assures that effective controls are developed and maintained to ensure the integrity of the organization and to provide effective quality patient care to our clientele.   Promote excellent customer service
•    Integrates management skills into clinical and administrative practice. Manages human resources, monitor lateness, attendance, sick time, leaves of absence (FMLA, maternity, educational etc.), and staff time off inclusive of vacation and personal time requests
•    Demonstrate professional growth and personal practice accountability. Facilitates professional growth of PCT, PSR and Medical Clerk staff to ensure current knowledge and competency
•    Fiscal and resource management

Qualifications:
•    A minimum of Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience required
•    Knowledge of the use of SMART Software and EPIC
•    Expertise in Front Desk Registration and Insurance Processes
•    Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet browser required
•    Knowledge of CLIA equipment and standardized testing of equipment as required: glucometers, multistix testing and analysis, HCG control testing, hemocult testing, Breathalyzers, and oral swab procedures
•    Human Resources and Labor Relations policies and procedures, recruitment management, accreditation requirements
•    Knowledge of OASAS, DEA, TJC and DOH regulations and standards for Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP)
•    Communication skills, customer service skills, competency evaluation and coaching skills

The standard hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm and must be able to work various shifts and locations depending on operational needs.

This is a 100% Grant Funded position.
