Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2160 per week.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Required skills include adult critical care, emergency department, extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oral/nasal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care/management, hand held, T-piece, trach collar, bag and mask, ET tube, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Long-term care experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: For all Eastern Region contracts, a personal car is required. Uber and rideshare services are unreliable due to the rural nature of many locations.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections. Unit work includes ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment skills, medication administration, and pulmonary hygiene. Equipment includes Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts per 13 week contract.

Floating Requirements: Will float between Eastern region hospitals, including Clifton Springs and Newark-Wayne Hospital, from long-term care to acute care as needed; location will be determined during the scheduling period.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
