Key Responsibilities
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Administering physical therapy services as delegated and supervised by licensed physical therapists to facilitate patient rehabilitation.
- Conducting patient assessments to monitor progress and document therapeutic interventions timely and accurately.
- Implementing treatment plans that are grounded in recent evidence-based practices and tailored to each patient's specific needs.
- Educating patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and home care strategies to enhance recovery.
- Maintaining compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards to prevent contamination during therapy.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on industry trends and developments.
- Utilizing advanced technology for patient record management and communication across teams effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse patient population of all age groups, addressing a variety of physical challenges including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role is vital in not only improving physical outcomes but also in enhancing the quality of life for your patients by fostering independence and mobility.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an Associate Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program is required.
- Licensure: Must possess a current state license to practice physical therapy in Tennessee.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, with a strong focus on manual therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
