Full job description
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, is recruiting for a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Critical Care team in beautiful Portland, Maine.
The ACNP will perform daily rounds on patients with a team of fellows, residents and students, as well as development and implementation of care plans, ordering and interpreting of diagnostic studies, procedures, admissions, discharges and family meetings. This is a dynamic setting that is growing and evolving. The ACNP will participate in research and quality initiatives for Neuro Critical Care and Surgical Critical Care patients. The program has multiple opportunities for learners including Neuro Critical Care rounds twice weekly, monthly cerebrovascular round, critical care grand rounds, as well as teaching rounds and multiple lectures. Desire to be a lifelong learner, teacher and part of an interdisciplinary care team are required.
Maine Medical Center (MMC) is Maine's only Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, 637 bed Academic Medical Center located in Portland on the breathtaking coast of Maine.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
Successful completion of accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Postgraduate training program in critical care or related specialty or equivalent experience is a must
Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
Current BLS certification.
Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, shift differentials, productivity-based incentives, quality incentives and other premiums.
The pay range for this position is $120,819 to $156,354 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
