Gulf Side Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our healthcare team in Montebello, California. The PTA will play a crucial role in supporting physical therapists to deliver exceptional care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and various physical conditions. This full-time position offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for an optimal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ specific needs, ensuring quality care in accordance with ethical and professional standards.
- Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises and stretches, providing real-time feedback to enhance their performance and adherence.
- Monitor patient progress throughout sessions, documenting key developments and communicating vital information back to supervising therapists to adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercise programs, preventive measures, and safety protocols to promote ongoing recovery and strength-building post-discharge.
- Maintain therapy equipment, ensuring it is sanitized, functional, and readily available for use, while adhering to hygiene standards.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal laws regarding documentation and patient privacy as per HIPAA guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily serves a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Physical Therapy or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- A valid California PTA license is required, or candidates must demonstrate eligibility to obtain one.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, or a willingness to acquire this credential upon hiring.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is necessary to ensure patient care is of the highest caliber.
