Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Staffency Program - Aspirus.

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years MS Ortho/Gen Surg experience. At least 1 travel assignment required. Required skills: General Surgery, total joint replacements, urology, vascular and GYN
Required Credentials: Education - Associate Degree or Certificate
Unit Details: Orthopedics and general surgery patient population. General surgery, total joint replacements, urology, vascular, and GYN cases. Patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night variable 12-hour shifts: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. Every other weekend and holidays as needed. Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours. First week is usually scheduled 40 hours for orientation.
Floating Requirements: Floats to other general west side units: 2W Hospice/Oncology, 4W Neuro EENT, 7W Med/Surg, and 8W Rehab.
9 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
