Job Summary and Qualifications
As a monitor technician, your work is vital with monitoring patients’ heart performance and checking for any abnormalities, such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. Your position as a monitor tech, plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by consistently interpreting test results and reporting those results to the healthcare personnel team. - You will routinely monitor patients, review patient charts, send charts after to medical records after discharge
- You will have daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel
- Consistently, accuracy and timeliness are extremely important in this role, you will be transcribing physician orders 100% of the time plus alerting nursing to STAT and NOW orders
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
Minimum of one year acute care hospital experience preferred
Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing
