About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is a well-established, physician-led women's health practice, not a hospital system or corporate health group. The physicians here run the practice, and that shows in how it operates: thoughtful scheduling, equitable call distribution, genuine investment in provider satisfaction, and a team culture built on communication rather than hierarchy.

Clinically, the role is full-scope by design. Your outpatient days include preventive care, prenatal visits, and gynecologic management for a diverse patient population supported by an established referral base. On the surgical side, you will have access to a solid procedural mix including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and cesarean sections, with real opportunity to develop subspecialty interests over time. For physicians who prefer to step away from obstetrics, a GYN-only path is on the table.

The team includes certified nurse midwives, APPs, and experienced clinical staff who share the workload and keep the day moving efficiently. You will collaborate closely with CNMs and hospital partners, and administrative infrastructure is in place to protect your time, including EHR workflows designed to minimize the documentation burden that follows too many physicians home.

Whether you are an early-career OB/GYN looking for a stable, well-supported foundation or an experienced physician ready for something more sustainable and autonomous, this practice is structured to fit a long career, not just a short placement.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Physician-owned and physician-run - decisions are made by clinicians who understand the work

  • Option to practice GYN-only, a rare flexibility for OB/GYNs who want to step back from deliveries without changing employers

  • Equitable, predictable call with a typical range of 3 to 6 shifts per month

  • Monday through Friday, no weekends, a genuine schedule and not just a recruiting headline

  • Partnership track for physicians who want long-term ownership and leadership

  • Strong referral base and clinical infrastructure already in place; you are joining a practice with traction, not building from scratch

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope outpatient OB/GYN care including preventive visits, well-woman exams, prenatal care, and gynecologic consultations

  • Manage labor and delivery, intrapartum care, and postpartum follow-up

  • Perform gynecologic procedures including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, and cesarean sections

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of gynecologic conditions including pelvic floor disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, and abnormal uterine bleeding

  • Collaborate with CNMs and APPs to coordinate care across the patient panel

  • Participate in shared, equitable call coverage with the OB/GYN team

  • Partner with hospital-based clinical staff to support inpatient and perioperative care continuity

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR

  • Contribute to clinical quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Eligible to obtain medical licensure in Arizona

  • DEA registration or eligibility

  • Ability to obtain hospital privileges as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills

  • Commitment to community-based, continuity-focused women's care
