As part of the SCP Health team, you have an opportunity to make a difference. At our core, we work to bring hospitals and healers together in the pursuit of clinical effectiveness. With a portfolio of over 8 million patients, 7500 providers, 30 states, and 400 healthcare facilities, SCP Health is a leader in clinical practice management spanning the entire continuum of care, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, wellness, telemedicine, intensive care, and ambulatory care.

Why you will love working here:

- Strong track record of providing excellent work/life balance.

- Comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.

- Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture of belonging and empowerment through our core values - collaboration, courage, agility, and respect.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages daily operations and case flow with the Board Runner, CRNA Lead, Lead Anesthesiologist, and OR leadership; communicates with the Anesthesia Scheduler.
  • Owns real-time scheduling execution: manages on-site/on-demand schedule changes, coverage gaps, call-outs, and last-minute adjustments; coordinates with the CET on scheduling updates and performs hands-on QGenda entry directly when CET turnaround would create a coverage risk.
  • Oversees distribution of call, weekend, and after-hours coverage.
  • Maintains PTO, CME, vacation, and leave tracking, and monitors timely approvals.
  • Tracks each provider's year-to-date shifts/hours against their contracted annual minimum, ensuring call-outs are backfilled so coverage commitments are met; proactively flags and escalates providers who are falling behind on their annual minimum.
  • Maintains relationships with OR, nursing, and hospital administration; meets weekly to discuss OR operations and supports continuous improvement initiatives with OR/hospital leadership.
  • Attends perioperative meetings (OR Governance, Block Committee, etc.).
  • Holds anesthesia meetings in conjunction with the Medical Director/Chief.
  • Supports provider onboarding, credentialing, payroll, and administrative support on the ground.
  • Secures coverage via internal providers, premium shifts, and locums as needed.
  • Creates and monitors facility metrics and reports trends.
  • Serves as the first escalation point for day-to-day operational issues.
  • Provides onsite support for administrative oversight of compliance requirements (TB documentation, HR compliance, and communication of policy changes at the local level, etc.).
  • Any other special projects or duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong operational judgment with the ability to make sound, real-time decisions under pressure, particularly for coverage gaps and scheduling conflicts.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clinical leadership (CRNAs, Anesthesiologists, Medical Director/Chief) and hospital/OR administration.
  • Proactive planning and timely execution of duties, while remaining responsive and available for on-demand scheduling and coverage needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with providers, hospital leadership, regional operations leaders, and staff at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of credentialing, payroll support processes, and provider onboarding requirements.
  • Comfortable working within facility metrics, reporting tools, and basic scheduling/staffing systems.
  • Understanding of compliance basics (e.g., TB documentation tracking) and ability to communicate policy changes clearly at the local level.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on growth strategies, specifically for procedural services, and ensuing the availability and alignment of anesthesia resources to support the growth.
  • Any other special projects or duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field, preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three+ years of healthcare operations, practice management, or facility administration experience.
  • Anesthesia, surgical services, or perioperative experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with provider scheduling, staffing coordination, or call coverage management preferred.

PRIMARY LOCATION:

  • Onsite at assigned facility location(s) - Tyler and Longview, TX

Pay Range:
