Full job description
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician interested in a focused practice area with predictable hours, a supportive team environment, and a patient-centered approach to care. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing wound care management.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately, timely and in compliance with CMS and commercial payer guidelines.
- Educate facility staff on wound prevention, early identification, and treatment practices.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, SNF/LTC regulations, and facility policies.
- Serve as a clinical resource for advanced wound management, including debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, biologics, and advanced dressings.
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- Surgical experience preferred, but we often hire providers from Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty.
- Wound Care Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Geriatrics is a bonus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with patients and facility staff.
- Uncapped Fee-For-Service compensation plan.
- Annual Earning Potential: $250,000 $325,000 (full-time equivalent).
