The OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center (SCC) is expanding its Hematology program and seeks two physician-scientists to join its academically driven, multidisciplinary team:
Primary Need: 100% Benign Hematology
Secondary Need: Mixed Benign and Malignant Hematology
These roles will support the continued growth of a nationally recognized program with opportunities across clinical care, education, research, and program development. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience, with flexible tracks including Clinical, Clinician-Educator, and Physician-Scientist pathways.
Program Overview
The Stephenson Cancer Center, established in 2001 and NCI-designated in 2018, is the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center in Oklahoma. It serves as a critical resource for research-driven, patient-centered cancer care and supports a statewide clinical trials network and community engagement initiatives.
As part of OU Health, the state’s only academic health system, SCC provides access to comprehensive specialty services and one of the region’s most robust oncology infrastructures.
Benign Hematology (Primary Need)
Opportunity to build and shape a dedicated benign hematology program, an area of strategic growth for the division
Focus on non-malignant hematologic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Significant institutional support to develop clinical programs and referral pathways
Flexible scope for candidates ranging from new graduates to experienced physicians
Mixed Benign & Malignant Hematology (Secondary Need)
Participation in a broad malignant hematology program, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma services
Involvement in inpatient hematology services and outpatient clinics
Integration with established programs in BMT and cellular therapy (CAR-T)
