CNC Machinist

<p style="text-align:center"><b>At Volt, our greatest strength is our people</b></p> <p style="text-align:center"><b>Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machinist in Carlsbad, CA.</b></p> <p style="text-align:center"> </p> <p>As a CNC Machinist you will:</p> <ul> <li>Independently complete machine setups with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.</li> <li>Set up and operate Haas 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.</li> <li>Select proper tooling, fixtures, machine speeds, and feed rates.</li> <li>Utilize probing systems and tool setters to establish offsets and change tools.</li> <li>Perform first article inspections and maintain in-process quality checks.</li> <li>Accurately document inspection results and production data.</li> <li>Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.</li> <li>Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.</li> <li>Maintain equipment through routine preventative maintenance activities.</li> <li>Follow all company safety policies and procedures.</li> <li>Participate in training programs as required.</li> <li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This is a full time opportunity.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED</li> <li>Minimum 2-3 years of CNC machining experience</li> <li>Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines</li> <li>Experience with Haas CNC equipment</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings</li> <li>Strong understanding of: <ul> <li>Fixture offsets</li> <li>Tool offsets</li> <li>Machine clearances</li> <li>Precision measurement techniques</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ability to perform first article and in-process inspections</li> <li>Experience using indicators, gauges, and inspection tools</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing</li> <li>Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with high noise levels</li> <li>Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed</li> <li>Drug Screen Required</li> <li>Background Check Required</li> <li>U.S. Person Status Required due to Export Control Regulations</li> <li> <p><b>Schedule:</b> Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (hours may vary based on department needs)<br /> <b>Overtime:</b> Overtime and occasional weekends may be required</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Preferred</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining</li> <li>Minimum 1 year of Mastercam experience</li> <li>CNC programming knowledge</li> <li>Experience in aerospace or precision machining environments</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Pay Rate:</b> <b><i>$25.00-$30.00 per hour</i></b></p> <p> </p> <p>*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Qualified candidates should <b>APPLY NOW </b>for immediate consideration!
