Join our team! As a Systems Engineer III – Reliability Engineer, you will use your skill to research, design, test, certify, and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll identify Reliability design criteria for systems, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product life cycle. You will lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts. You will take on significant project responsibilities, demonstrating expertise in design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management. Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration are crucial as you drive project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle advanced tasks in Reliability & Maintainability engineering
  • Lead R&M analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.
  • Take on significant project responsibilities and guide junior engineers.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to drive project success.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in R&M engineering or related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with performing R&M analyses such as FMECAs/FMEAs, FTAs, Reliability Predictions, or Reliability Block Diagrams
  • Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, MBSE ; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiar with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
  • Experience contributing to related IPT artifacts, such as system safety analyses or logistics engineering analyses.
  • Experience working in the design & development phase of a program.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience with systems engineering modelling tools, such as DOORS, Jama, Cameo, or MATLAB.
  • Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE.
  • Experience with FRBs, FRACAS, and Root Cause Analyses
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for system modeling and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
