Promoting evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Other duties as assigned. Promotes patient rights and ensures they are consistently upheld. Functions as a patient advocate, ensuring hospital personnel are aware of patient rights. Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fostering a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be an emotionally intelligent, self-motivated and self-driven individual [Required]
- Must be able to adjust to demanding hours, diverse circumstances, work independently and dependently of others and have a high level of effective collaboration with varying constituencies. [Required]
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to maintain flexibility in schedule and adapt to varying deadlines and changing priorities. [Required]
- Must be detail oriented and must have an excellent understanding of applicable nursing, clinical and patient statutory policies and regulations. [Required]
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 2+ years psychiatric and/or acute care nursing experience in charge nurse or relevant nurse leader role [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
