Full job description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance.
- Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment
- Develop mechanical shock test procedures
- Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications.
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
- Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
- Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
- Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
- At least Zero (0) to Two (2) years business experience in:
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr. - USD $72,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
