Full job description
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Custodian to join their team. As a Custodian, you will be part of the facilities maintenance team supporting the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the VMS Plant. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Industrial Sanitation Worker
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay Range: $19-$20.50/hr (depending on shift)
Available Shifts:
1st Shift: 5am - 5pm, M, Tu, W and every other Th
2nd Shift: 5pm - 5am, M, Tu, W and every other Th
3rd Shift: 5am - 5pm, F, Sat, Sun and every other Th (Currently Open)
4th Shift: 5pm - 5am, F, Sat, Sun and every other Th
What's the Job?
- Perform custodial duties throughout the VMS Plant including offices, manufacturing, packaging, blend, warehouses, parking lots, and grounds.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, safety policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain facilities in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Use a variety of cleaning utensils and equipment, including floor scrubbers, to perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Report supply needs and sanitation requirements to the supervisor in a timely manner.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year of experience in a custodial role.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions effectively.
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be 30 feet high performing tasks.
