An academically affiliated medical center is seeking a General Gastroenterologist to join its growing regional GI program serving the Wheeling, West Virginia market. As the health system integrates several established gastroenterology practices into a unified regional service line, incoming physicians will benefit from strong leadership, significant clinical autonomy, and the chance to help shape the future of gastroenterology across the region. Opportunities are available throughout the Wheeling market, including Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial Hospital, and Weirton Medical Center, with flexibility to build a practice that fits your interests and preferences.
Position Highlights:
-$650,000 guaranteed base salary with productivity incentives
-Existing physicians commonly produce 10,000-15,000 wRVUs annually
-Bread-and-butter gastroenterology practice with no ERCP, EUS, or advanced endoscopy requirements
-Flexible practice model with customizable clinic and procedure mix
-Robust APP support for inpatient consults, rounding, outpatient follow-up, and weekend call coverage
-Open to fellows, early-career physicians, and experienced gastroenterologists
-J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available
-Opportunity to practice across multiple facilities within one integrated health system
