About the Role
The Director, Global Strategic Sourcing is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing global category strategies that deliver sustainable competitive advantage across Dover's operating companies. This leader will drive enterprise value through cost transformation, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and talent development-with emphasis on strategy, execution, and collaboration.
Reporting to the VP, Global Supply Chain, this role leads a global team of sourcing professionals and serves as a trusted business partner to Operations, Engineering, Finance, and New Product Development (NPD) teams worldwide.

Experience & Education
Pay Range: $195,000.00 - $205,000.00 annually
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Strategy & Value Creation
- Own and execute global category strategies aligned to Dover's long-term business, technology, and growth roadmaps.
- Deliver measurable financial and operational impact through cost transformation, margin expansion, and working capital improvement.
- Lead all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within assigned categories, ensuring best-in-class terms and total cost outcomes.
- Develop and lead a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework for strategic and preferred suppliers.
- Drive supplier performance, innovation, and continuous improvement across quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and resilience.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supplier, geopolitical, and supply chain risks across global categories.
- Partner closely with NPD Procurement and Engineering teams to ensure sourcing strategies support product roadmaps, speed-to-market, and design-to-cost objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to operating companies, balancing enterprise leverage with business-unit flexibility.
- Lead sourcing integration for new acquisitions, transitioning suppliers and categories into Dover's ecosystem.
- Support divestitures by managing supplier exits and ensuring business continuity.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global sourcing organization.
- Build strong succession pipelines and elevate procurement capabilities across analytics, negotiation, and strategic thinking.
- Champion change management initiatives that drive global collaboration and standardization.
- Leverage advanced analytics, spend visibility, and project management tools to inform decision-making and track value realization.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, governance, and compliance.

Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive strategic sourcing experience in a global manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, managing global or matrixed teams.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Executive-level communication and influence skills.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change.
- Deep understanding of category management, SRM, and supply chain risk.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without authority.
- High degree of initiative, accountability, and results orientation.
