Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1940 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health and no current placement allowed at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with surgical drains and post-op orthopedic patient mobilization (e.g., backs, hips, knees) preferred.

Preferred Credentials: Critical Care Course preferred.

Unit Details: Orthopedic MS/Tele unit (7K). Adult and geriatric patient population; primarily orthopedic patients (backs, necks, knees, hips), with some orthopedic trauma, some medical patients (UTI, appendicitis, generalized weakness), and bariatric surgery patients on day of surgery and POD #1. Drips: Heparin; rare PCA with morphine or Dilaudid. No other drips on the unit. Equipment/devices: Alaris pumps, Hercules beds, Hemovac drains, True-close drains, and JP drains. Oxygen support includes BiPAP if not continuous, nasal cannula, and occasional non-rebreather or Venturi mask until transfer off; no vents or trachs. May team nurse with a small LPN population. Charge RN takes a patient assignment; unit clerk coverage Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p; clinical shift supervisor coverage on nights 6p-330a 4 nights per week.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
