Logistics Coordinator – Romulus

Universal Logistics is seeking a motivated Logistics Coordinator to support daily crossdock operations and our management team.

Starting Pay: $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM Paid Time Off: available to eligible employees Position Type: Entry-Level Management Development Opportunity

This role provides hands-on experience in logistics operations and is designed for individuals interested in developing toward a floor management position.

Responsibilities

· Prepare the dock and operation for the daily workload

· Coordinate trailers, dock positions, and freight using the Yard Management System (YMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS)

· Monitor inbound/outbound activity and freight flow

· Research packing slip and freight discrepancies

· Communicate with drivers, dock employees, supervisors, and management

· Support daily floor operations and problem-solving

Qualifications

· Logistics or warehouse experience preferred, but not required

· Strong computer, communication, and problem-solving skills

· Reliable with strong attention to detail

· Willingness to learn crossdock operations, YMS/WMS systems, and develop leadership skills
