Job Description

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a Nurse Manager in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. 

  • The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit. 

  • This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided. 

  • The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.    

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSN)

  • Active RN license in state of practice

  • 5 years’ experience as a nurse

  • 3 years’ experience in a nursing leadership position

  • Critical care experience

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of pediatric experience

  • 1 year experience in clinical research

  • Burn and wound care experience

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification


Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
