Full job description

Midtown is searching for full-time Retail Associates to assist our members and customers in our shop. 

The Position
Our Retail Associates serve as consultants to members and guests.  Whether looking for a last-minute pair of yoga pants, a tennis racquet or athletic shoes, our clientele enjoy knowledgeable and enthusiastic service.  Retail Associates play an important role at Midtown, as they build relationships with members and provide a delightful retail experience in a boutique environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service.

  • Respond to customer questions and provide accurate information about products, services, and store policies.

  • Improve customer engagement with merchandise by making product recommendations.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance the overall shopping experience.

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.

  • Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges according to company procedures.

  • Direct customers to merchandise and assist them in locating products within the store.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free retail environment.

  • Process incoming shipments and stock merchandise on the sales floor.

  • Ensure shelves, displays, and product areas remain fully stocked and visually appealing.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.

  • Introduce customers to current promotions, sales, and special offers when applicable.

  • Support store operations by completing assigned tasks and contributing to team goals.

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service, communication and organization skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift merchandise as needed.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

Starting at $17.05 per hour, with pay determined by experience and qualifications.
