Scope of Position: Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.
Position Schedule: Monday- Friday, 07:30 am- 4:30 pm
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, documentation, billing, and accounting activities.
- Track and trace shipments while proactively communicating updates to customers and partners.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving shipment issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, truckers, brokers, and overseas partners.
- Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, company policies, and government regulations.
- Meet departmental KPIs and maintain operational excellence through attention to detail and timely execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment processing and problem resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Complete required training and uphold Expeditors' culture, values, and commitment to integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- Successful candidates must pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs
- Must be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne, CA
- Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
- Comfortable working in a professional business environment.

- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)

The wage for this position is $20.00-$30.00 per hour.
