Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will support the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals, plans, and programs to meet patients' long-term rehabilitation objectives. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will embrace the values of teamwork, results orientation, and resourcefulness while promoting a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.

Assist in various therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strength training, endurance training, and balance exercises.

Train patients in locomotion via orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.

Monitor patient responses and make interventions as necessary.

Document patient progress and engage in patient and family education.

Maintain safety standards and compliance with safety, infection control, and clinic policies.

Participate in team conferences and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.

CAPTE Certification and active license for the state where work will be performed.

1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.

Current CPR Certification.

Schedule This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
