JOB TITLE:   Batch Operator  Team Lead 

DEPARTMENT:  Batch 

REPORTS TO:  Batch Value Stream Manager 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: A batch operation (non-continuous) production line that independently, mixes and milling raw and semi-finished material together in tubular form for processing via extrusion, expansion and packaging for end product and consumer use, Team lead is also RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSIGNING DEPARTMENTAL DUTIES DURING THE SHIFT, MEET PRODUCTION SCHEDULE; COORDINATE BREAK SCHEUDLES AND TROUBLESHOOT DEPARTMENT ISSUES ON SHIFT AND RELIEVE PEOPLE AS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN LINE PRODUCTION. 

 

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS:  

 

  • Operate various machinery such as mills, extruder, ovens, etc. safely 

  • Ensure accuracy of formulations and weighments 

  • Ensure internal and external specifications are met 

  • Package product from initial phase to completed end product 

  • Understand and implement the weekly schedule and the 24 hour plan 

  • Frequent quality checks of material (visual checks, AIMS, QMS, etc) 

 

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

Must be able to read, write and understand instructions and customer specifications.  Must have or be capable of SDS Awareness.  

 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma or equivalent.  A minimum of one year of experience within Armacell is highly preferred. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
