About the Site
The Spindle Hill Energy Center is a 314 MW simple cycle power plant using GE’s 7FA gas turbine platform.
Position Overview:
The I&C Technician will be a Team player performing operations, maintenance, and craft technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective, and environmentally acceptable operation and maintenance of all equipment. As the Instrumentation & Controls Technician, you will ensure that the control systems are working properly at the Spindle Hill Energy Center.
Responsibilities
The I&C Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the site
Troubleshooting/maintaining DCS (distributed control system)
Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and/or control systems in a power generation facility
Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures
Acquire and maintain plant operations certification in all areas to effectively operate a combined cycle power station
The Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Must be able to read and understand schematic blueprints and technical documents
Uses computerized maintenance management system to initiate work requests for material deficiencies noted during shift operations
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Candidates must be willing and capable of becoming multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.
Each employee will perform both operations and maintenance.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Skills:
GE MKVI and GE 7FA Turbine experience is a plus
Expansive I&C or I&E knowledge is a plus
Minimum two years of related instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) in a power generation facility or minimum two years of directly related instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) maintaining large industrial equipment

Base Pay
Bonus: 0% - 10%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
