Works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and performs a variety of routine duties and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent Required
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience Preferred
  • Prior hospital experience Preferred
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • • Current Certification from a Nationally Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (PTCB or NHA – ExCPT) Required
  • • Current Licensure/Registration with the New York State Education Department, Office of Professions Required
