Full job description

Our client, an industry leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Outbound department supporting the warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $18.50 - $ 22.50

Shift:
Weekday shift, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, Monday- Thursday
Weekending shift, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, Friday-Sunday.

What's the Job?

  • Accurately pick and load finished goods for shipment using warehouse management systems and RF scanning devices.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch to identify the next available dock door for loading based on inventory and schedules.
  • Maintain the dock area, support staging lanes, and direct support staff when necessary.
  • Complete trailer loading within specified timeframes, finalize paperwork, and deliver documentation to Dispatch for driver release.
  • Support inbound operations by receiving supplier materials, ensuring receipt accuracy, and escalating issues promptly.

What's Needed?

  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning devices such as Zebra guns.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required, and operate PIT equipment safely.
