Occupational Medicine Physician

Job Title: Occupational Health Medical Director

Place of Work (City/State): Stennis Space Center, Mississippi

Start Date: 1 to 2 months

Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM CT; regular onsite presence required.

How many shifts needed per month: 5 days/week

License: Must meet Mississippi medical licensing requirements.

Certifications: ABMS board certification required; alternate certification may be accepted with OCHMO waiver.

Experience needed: Occupational Medicine experience required; years not specified.

Special Skills needed: Occupational health, medical leadership, medical surveillance, fitness-for-duty, return-to-work evaluations, occupational injuries/illnesses, OSHA/BBP and infection control.

Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical leadership and oversight of the Occupational Health Program.
• Ensure Federal, Mississippi, and NASA compliance.
• Oversee quality of care and medical qualification decisions.
• Oversee occupational injuries, medical surveillance, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work services.
• Oversee immunization, infection control, BBP, and AED programs.
• Ensure appropriate provider credentialing and privileging.
