Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data center industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Principal Power Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Principal Power Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting cutting-edge power system solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location:San Jose, California
What's the Job?
- Architect, implement, and support advanced power system solutions for networking, storage, and server systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop hardware solutions integrated into platform designs, including processors, high-speed serial interfaces, NPUs, FPGAs, high-speed memory, and PCB layout.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive system architecture of multi-tiered power networks, from rack-level power distribution to board-level solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet system specifications, thermal, safety, and power requirements.
- Engage with customers and suppliers to lead power solution architecture, contribute to technology roadmaps, and support industry initiatives.
What's Needed?
- 10+ years of industry experience with at least 5+ years in power supply design and system architecture.
- Deep understanding of high power, low noise, efficient, high-density power design, including relevant simulations and testing.
- Proficiency in power conversion, component selection, circuit simulation tools like Spice and LTspice, and PCB layout with Cadence Allegro and DxDesigner.
- Experience with high current multi-phase power systems (>500W), power-up sequencing, and thermal design principles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to produce detailed specifications, test plans, and collaborate effectively across teams.
