Full job description
Immediate need for a Materials Planner to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. This role will review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules; confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
Job Title: Materials Planner
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hr
Location: Port Orange, FL
What’s the Job?
- Create, consume, and finish all internal production work orders for all Departments.
- Run internal production work order backorder report and follow up with purchasing on any missing items. Send summary of missing items to Supervisor
- Create and Process all Pick Tickets for Production and Service.
- Communicate any missing product to Supervisor that could potentially make our shipments late to our customers.
- Run Production Backorder Report and follow up with Purchasing on any missing items in absence of Supervisor.
- Work with Department Supervisors to maintain Internal Production Work Orders and expedite any urgent Work Orders.
- Communicate information pertaining to MRP System with Materials & Production managers.
- Produce and analyze Shortage Reports for management team.
- Understand inventory flow process.
- Works under the close supervision of senior personnel in the functional area.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Responsible for representing Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. in a professional, respectful, honest, and courteous manner with customers and co-workers.
- Responsible for professional levels of quality and quantity of work.
- Navision experience a plus.
