Join our Columbia, SC office as a Transportation Design Engineer. In this role, you will lead engineering design projects and maintain client relationships.
From local infrastructure projects to highway design, you will lead the development of a diverse portfolio of projects with the support of our highly technical team. Our internally developed project development process will provide the structure you need to grow in your career.
Primary responsibilities:
Provide engineering design for roadway/transportation related projectsComplete feasibility studies and technical design reportsCoordinate roadway design project plans with associated utilitiesAssist in the planning, design, and construction administration of projectsWork closely with relevant permitting agenciesDemonstrate eagerness to learn new areas of engineeringPrepare proposals and development of scope, schedule, and budgetServe as client contactDevelop project management and team leadership capabilities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringEngineer in Training (EIT) certification3+ years experience using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D software for design and drafting tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) License in South Carolina5+ years of experience planning, designing, and constructing public utility projects Experience with direct client contact and project management
