Part-time Clinical Associates - Pediatric Critical Care

Salary Range: $1,500 - $3,000 per shift

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Critical Care Medicine, is seeking Clinical Associates at 10% effort for renewable terms of up to two years. Clinical responsibilities include providing coverage for the Comer Children's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Sedation Services. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is paid per shift. These positions are benefits ineligible.

The Section of Pediatric Critical Care has a fully accredited fellowship program, and a 30 bed PICU, in addition to the Pediatric Sedation and Palliative Care Services. Faculty members within the Section are actively involved in research, quality improvement, and medical education initiatives. Comer Children's Hospital is a designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, a Magnet hospital recognized for nursing excellence, and an ELSO Gold Level Center of Excellence for extracorporeal life support.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
