Job Details

Seeking an experienced Heading Machinist to set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality parts while maintaining equipment, following blueprints, and meeting production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines.
• Produce quality parts using blueprints, process documents, and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Gather production materials, drawings, schedules, and tooling requirements.
• Enter setup and production data into the K-Lite tracking system.
• Identify and report machine issues, material defects, and drawing discrepancies.
• Perform machine maintenance and tooling replacements as needed.
• Support and train new team members when required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cold heading or related machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using precision inspection equipment.
• Experience with National, Okuma, or Waterbury machines is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
