Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1730 per week.

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Unit Details: - Provides pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision. - Performs patient assessments, develops respiratory care plans, and provides respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital. - Responsibilities include emergency response (Code Blue and Code White), airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, aerosolized drug delivery, ventilator setup and management, BiPAP and CPAP management, oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring, chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis. - May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader. - Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management and monitoring including iNO and HeO2, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation/desaturation studies, polysomnography, and transport duties.
