Job Title:

Mental Health ClinicianTrainee

Division/Program:

Modesto FSP - Children's Behavioral Health

Starting Compensation:

24.00 - 27.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Modesto

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday through Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM. After hours depending on client needs. On-call rotation.

What you bring to SBHG:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a practicum course at an accredited master’s program for psychology, social work, or marriage & family therapy required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in counseling or related field is preferred but not required.

  • (1) year of experience in a mental health field giving direct care services preferred.

Licensure & Compliance: 

  • Eligibility to apply for registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California upon completion of degree requirements.

  • A valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.

How you will make a difference:

Provides comprehensive behavioral health services to youth and families, including assessments, crisis intervention, case management, and referral coordination. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, supports client transitions into the FSP program, and ensures timely follow-up on services and referrals. Maintains accurate documentation, completes required assessments and intake paperwork, participates in an after-hours on-call rotation, and provides services in both office and community-based settings.

Division/Program Overview:

  • Population Served: Serving ages (0-18)

  • Facility & Setting: Outpatient community-based services and support. Delivers client services throughout Stanislaus County within designated county limits. May be required to transport clients/client family members utilizing personal vehicle.

  • Clinical Services: Individual and family counseling

  • Skills & Services: After-School Groups/ Activities and Crisis intervention services

  • Role specific Benefits & Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursement included at a rate of $0.85 per mile and Monthly stipend included (Cell phone / Internet).
