Full job description
Position Summary: This position will perform structural design, analysis, and detailing for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other structures as assigned.
Basic Duties:
- Structural design, analysis, calculations, 3D modeling, and drafting for various industrial, institutional buildings, and other structures as assigned.
- Assistance in design, field investigations, field engineering, material take-offs, surveys, and studies to complete project goals.
- Assisting in the preparation of project reports and construction documents and reviewing documents prepared by others.
- Overseeing and providing direction on the design and development of structural models and structural drawings and specifications.
- Working alone and as part of a team completing assigned tasks.
- The position will also interact directly with structural steel detailers through the development of the detailed model and drawings.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of related engineering experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply as well.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in structures.
- Ability to obtain EIT within 6 months.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, and MS Office.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to travel domestically & internationally to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
- Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
- A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

- Bilingual English / Spanish abilities
- Experience preparing and editing construction documents
