Nicu Tech Full Time Night

POSITION SUMMARY:
To support the NICU department and patient by providing a variety of services such as database management, registering/admitting patients, information processing, patient/department support, materials/inventory management, educational/training functions, and unit-specific tasks.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal business/medical training. Completion of a medical terminology course. Completion of BA training and completion of unit-based training for NICU skills.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3-6 months experience as a Patient Care Associate or Business Associate preferred. Computer Experience - Knowledge of windows environment. Previous customer service experience. Medical office experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Effective communication and writing skills-ability to articulate and use proper spelling and grammar. Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with co-workers and other staff. Effective presentation skills. Effective critical thinking -analytical, problem-solving, decision making, prioritizing, time management, etc. Ability to multitask and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Typing/keyboarding skills at 25-30 wpm minimum.
