Medical Director of Newborn Services
Department of Pediatrics -Division of Neonatology

The Department of Pediatrics at MedStar Harbor Hospital is seeking a Medical Director of Newborn Services for its Division of Neonatology. The candidate, who must be board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, should be committed to maintaining and continue to develop a program of excellence in clinical care for normal and moderately ill newborns. Strong interpersonal skills are a must; previous leadership experience is preferred but not required.
MedStar Harbor Hospital provides obstetric care and oversees over 1,000 deliveries per year and counts with a level II Neonatal Care Unit to take care of moderately ill term and preterm newborns.
As medical director, the individual will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations and coverage schedule, providing education of staff including pediatric hospitalists, nurse and nurses, and developing, supporting, and participating in practice and quality improvement projects.
