PRINCIPAL  RESPONSIBILITIES

This Job will be a Placement as an Electrician in EV14 Maintenance

  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Coordinate efforts between operations and engineering functions
  • Set up spare parts, optimize PMs, keep process parameters updated
  • Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge.
  • Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Tableau, etc.
  • Utilize IPN resources where necessary
  • Troubleshoot, process and repair or replace defective parts, such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, and direction controls as required.
  • Monitors operations, reduces scrap and rework rates, audits parts, and when required preforms adjustments necessary to maintain proper setup and to ensure quality production.
  • Analyzes equipment/machine problems, performs repairs, or initiates corrective actions if beyond scope of Experience
  • Demonstrates self-initiative, promotes associates’ suggestions, and utilized CIP concepts to improve quality and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Initiates corrective actions if data shows “out of control” conditions. Instructs associates in the proper use and care of machines, tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Reduces setup time and general downtimes via CIP activities and properly escalates as required.
  • Controls parts flow and monitors production quantities.
  • Follows plant safety and environmental policies, and keeps work areas clean and orderly.
  • Actively seeks additional opportunities to gain knowledge or cross train.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Provide Multi Craft maintenance support for EV14 value stream on 3rd shift.
  • Perform break-down, preventative, scheduled, and project maintenance of assembly production machinery and equipment within I4.0 manufacturing area.
  • Support install, commission, maintaining, diagnosing and repair of various type of production equipment throughout EV14 value stream. 
  • Maintain safe and clean work and storage areas during execution of maintenance work.  
  • Maintain 5S in department and maintenance area.
  • Document and maintain maintenance work records in SAP.  
  • Perform other essential or related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
  • Work within cross functional team to reach Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets.

INTERACTION

This position interacts with Operators, Operational Technicians, Special Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and leadership.

COMPENSATION

Starting hourly rate for this position is $33.00 - $37.30 based on experience and shift. As a Bosch employee, you can achieve an hourly rate up to $42.25 through skills development and strong contributions.


  • Must be Electrically Qualified
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to function in a noisy and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates self-initiative
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
  • Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
  • Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
  • Mechatronics major is a plus

This position reports to Chad Shedd (ChP/MFO6 TPM)
