Registered Nurse – Pulmonary Progressive Care
- Schedule: 7pm-7am, Full-time Nights
- Department: Pulmonary Progressive Care
- Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NC

You’ll gain hands-on experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP, and chest tubes—all while making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives every single day. - Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, influenza, and respiratory failure
- Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needs
- Manage specialized skills including:
- Tracheostomy and ventilated patient care
CPAP/BIPAP and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
Chest tube management
Administration of blood products and select IV drips - Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention
- Tracheostomy and ventilated patient management
- CPAP/BIPAP & heated high flow oxygen therapy
- Chest tube care and respiratory device management
