Job Summary
Schedule: 11:00am to 7:30pm Monday to FridaySummary: Responsible for serving as the lead technical and operational resource within the Sterile Processing Department. Performs advanced sterile processing functions while providing day-to-day coordination, technical guidance, and operational support to staff. Collaborates with procedural areas to support service needs, assists with departmental initiatives, and may support leadership with designated operational and personnel-related activities.

Essential Functions:
Performs all responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician I, II, and III roles.
Serves as the department's lead technical resource and subject matter expert for sterile processing practices, instrumentation, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
Provides day-to-day guidance, workflow coordination, and technical support to staff to promote operational efficiency and service excellence.
Assists in coordinating instrument, equipment, and service needs with operating rooms, procedural areas, and other customers.
Supports staff training, onboarding, competency development, and ongoing education activities.
Assists with quality assurance activities, process improvement initiatives, implementation of new technologies, and departmental projects.
Serves as a resource for troubleshooting complex instrumentation, equipment, workflow, and customer service issues.
May assist leadership with operational, administrative, and personnel-related activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials: Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or C.S.P.D.T - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. required; Certified Instrument Specialist [CIS] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor [CER] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.
Experience: Experience as a Central Sterile Technician 3 -5 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of infection prevention, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to serve as a subject matter expert and provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with instrument tracking systems and specialty certifications preferred.
