Job Summary:
Methodist Healthcare System, the largest healthcare provider in South Texas, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly respected and growing cardiothoracic program in San Antonio, Texas.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative, high-volume surgical team with access to advanced technology, a robust referral network, and one of the most comprehensive heart and vascular programs in the region. Position Highlights
- Join an established and highly regarded cardiothoracic surgery practice with significant regional market presence
- Perform a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Valve repair and replacement
- Aortic surgery
- Thoracic oncology procedures
- Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, intensivists, advanced practice providers, and surgical specialists
- Participate in program development, quality initiatives, clinical research, and educational activities
- Opportunity to mentor residents and fellows while contributing to the continued growth of the service line
- Primarily practice at one Methodist Healthcare hospital location
- Call expectations:
- 1:5 weekend call rotation
- 1:7 weekday call rotation
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Eligible for unrestricted Texas medical licensure
- Experience in routine and complex coronary surgery, valve repair/replacement, and structural heart procedures preferred
- Experience with thoracic surgery, minimally invasive lung surgery, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery is welcomed but not required
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care
- New fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply and will be fully considered
