The role of HR Strategy & Operations reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, helps to maximize reach and productivity for the CHRO and advance the most important work across the HR function. This role helps to coordinate and accelerate enterprise-wide HR initiatives and cross-functional priorities while also supporting a smooth and consistent flow of information, timely and thoughtful decision-making, and solid execution of key strategic projects. The individual in this role must be a trusted thought partner to the CHRO and a reliable conduit of information between the CHRO and the Human Resources Leadership team (HRLT).
About the Job
- Strategic Support & Advisory
- Partner with the CHRO and HRLT to drive HR strategy and ensure its ongoing alignment to organizational priorities and business goals
- Prepare briefing materials, talking points, presentations, and updates for Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings, board discussions, town halls, Activation Office & related workstream meetings, and more
- Offer thought leadership as an individual contributor and partnership to CHRO and HRLT to support best-in-class thinking across the HR function and its contribution to the organization, including around AI & other automation and technology opportunities
- Provide research, analysis and recommendations on HR trends, metrics and issues that could influence the organization's HR strategy or priorities
- Work closely with HRLT to track progress against priorities, ensure alignment with strategic objectives and help remove obstacles
- Represent CHRO's viewpoint in select forums and meetings (where appropriate) and ensure connection/communication back to CHRO & HRLT
About You
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, HR, Organizational Development, or related field ideal)
- 7+ years of experience in a similar or related role – preferably in Human Resources
- Strong balance of strategy and process orientation
- Appreciation for the duality of business and people considerations in the work of an HR function
- Proven ability to connect functional strategies and initiatives to larger organizational goals and objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across teams and stakeholders
- Natural collaborator with an ability to guide discussions towards alignment and action
- High degree of discretion and judgment given the sensitive and often confidential nature of HR work
- Experience balancing concurrent priorities and adjusting focus as business needs evolve in a global environment.
- Strong project and process management orientation
This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $167,300 - $245,400 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
