Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience preferred. Ostomy experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Provides complex wound, ostomy, and tracheotomy care, with patient and caregiver education prioritized for discharge. Postoperative pain management includes epidurals and PCAs. The unit has a high turnover of discharges and admissions. Cares for patients with urologic, gynecologic, colorectal, orthopedic, breast, head and neck, liver, and pancreatic conditions.

Shift & Scheduling: Day shifts run 07:00-19:30 and night shifts run 19:00-07:30. Day/night shifts will not rotate within the same week but may rotate within a 4-week schedule period. 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period.

Floating Requirements: May float to other UCSF facilities, including Parnassus and Mt. Zion.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
