Full job description
How you'll make an impact
- Help with health and benefits consulting work through data analysis, modeling, and project tasks.
- Build skills in actuarial methods while learning from experienced colleagues.
- Analyze data and perform actuarial calculations that support health and benefits consulting projects.
- Help build financial models for healthcare cost projections and risk assessments, then work with senior colleagues to turn that work into clear client reports and presentations.
- As you grow in the role, you'll learn how to support key actuarial projects like:
- OPEB valuations
- GASB 74/75, ASC 715, ASC 965, GASB 101 and ASC 712 compliance work
- RDS reconciliation and attestation
- Medicare Part D creditable coverage testing
- Mental Health Parity QTL testing and analysis
- Incurred but not reported reserve calculations
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 0 years related experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Studying for actuarial exams; refer to management for specific preferred requirements.
- Experience using Excel or a similar spreadsheet tool to sort, filter and review data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to check calculations and spot data issues.
- Able to explain findings in simple terms in writing and in meetings.
- Ability to manage several tasks and meet deadlines.

- Must be able to multi-task to meet deadlines with quality and accurate deliverables.
