Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Transportation Clerk to join their team. As a Transportation Clerk, you will be part of the administrative support team, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Transportation Clerk

Location: Decatur, AL

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 1st shift

What's the Job?

  • Perform various office and administrative duties, including handling accounts payable/receivable and collections
  • Assist with payroll, fuel reconciliation, office supplies, billing, and maintaining databases
  • Audit logs, trip reports, and other DOT reporting requirements
  • Maintain files, provide customer service interaction, and resolve driver equipment requests
  • Support route book maintenance, daily driver interface, and driver coverage for vacations and overflow freight

What's Needed?

  • Ability to perform office and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Attention to detail in auditing logs and reports
  • Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and reporting (preferred but not required)
